What is the purpose?

The purpose of the Friends is to promote use of the Oak Lawn Public Library, fund materials and equipment that are beyond the Library budget, and support opportunities for cultural enrichment and lifelong learning for area residents.

How to become a member?

Fill out the Membership Application based on how you want to pay your annual fee. You can pay online via Debit/Credit Card, Google or Apple Pay, ACH/Bank Transfer or Zelle.

Memberships paid for today are good through 2026.

What does membership offer?

The Friends are a not-for-profit organization of area residents and book lovers who are dedicated to strengthening our community by supporting a vibrant Public Library in Oak Lawn, Illinois. First and foremost, we are active supporters of the Library and its programs. Membership also provides access to exclusive events and resources.

Wanna help? Become part of our cadre of volunteers who help make our bookstore and operations run so well with whatever time you can spare. We need help with the Bookstore, Mailings, Phone Calls, Special Events, IT/Website, Hospitality, and anything else that your talents might enhance! We love fun people!
