The purpose of the Friends is to promote use of the Oak Lawn Public Library, fund materials and equipment that are beyond the Library budget, and support opportunities for cultural enrichment and lifelong learning for area residents.

Who We Are

The Friends is a not-for-profit organization of area residents and book lovers who are dedicated to strengthening our community by supporting a vibrant Public Library in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

We operate the Friends Bookstore, which raises more than $18,000 each year to fund our mission and reach our goal of helping the library.
